Turte - Moldavian Christmas eve walnut cake - Dolce alle noci

















How to make:
Ingredients : 12 sheets filo pastry,350 -400 gr ground walnut,300 gr sugar,1 lemon zest,1 orange zest,2 tsp Rum essence.
Bake each sheet of filo pastry in the oven,for 1 - 2 mins and set aside.
Prepare the syrup : 150 gr sugar,400 ml water,1 tbs Rum flavoring.Caramelize the sugar,pour water stir then add Rum flavoring.
In a baking try lay one sheet pour some syrup,then sprinkle 2 tbs caster sugar and some lemon and orange zest and continue so until the last layer. Allow to cool in the fridge for 3 hours.
