Mince meat and potatoes pie - Placinta cu carne si cartofi













How to make:
Ingredients: 10 sheets filo pastry,50 gr melted butter or olive oil.
Filling:500 gr mix mince meat (turkey,beef,pork),200 gr mash potatoes,100 gr sliced mushroom,150 gr grated cheese,100 gr Camembert cheese,salt,pepper,1 egg,1/2 half chopped onion.
Glaze:50 ml yogurt or cream,poppy seeds.

Preheat the oven to 200 C.
Grease all filo pastry sheets with melted butter or olive oil.Grease with oil a baking tray 30 cm x 40 cm.
Mix all ingredients.
Lay 4 sheets of filo pastry in a tray add half of the mixture lay another 4 sheets,add the rest of the mixture,lay another 2 sheets,brush with cream and sprinkle over some poppy seeds and a bit of grate cheese.
Bake in the oven for about 25 - 30 mins or until golden brown.

Meatball with cream - Perisoare cu smantana





















How to make:
Ingredients: 300 gr mix minced meat,50 gr rice,1 egg,3 onions,200 ml single cream,4 tbs plain flour,
1 carrot,1 parsley,salt,pepper,paprika,thyme,1 vegetable stock,2 tbs chopped green parsley,1 l water.
Mix the minced meat with egg,rice,1 chopped onion,2 tbs flour,2 tbs chopped green parsley,salt,pepper,paprika,thyme,then form the meatballs.Set aside,meanwhile make the soup from 1 l water,carrot,parsley,1 onion,salt,pepper and/or vegetable stock.On lower heat,boil the meat ball into the soup for 15 - 20 mins.
Into a separate pan, in 2 tbs oil fry 2 chopped onions with 2 tbs flour,add 200 ml from the vegetable soup,then add the cream and the meatball and leave to cook for further 5 mins. Serve with green salad or pickles and polenta .

Dolmades - Sarmale




















 Ingredients: 1 kg mix minced meat (turkey,beef,pork),200 gr rice,3 chopped onions,150 ml tomatoes juice,herbs,1/2 grated carrot,1/2 grated parsley,salt,pepper,cabbage leafs,4 tablespoons oil.
Fry the onion,carrot,parsley and rice in 4 tablespoons of oil until browned,add 75 ml tomatoes juice and allow to cool.
Stir together the meat with salt,pepper,herbs,and the mix of onion with rice.
Cut the cabbage leafs,roll the meat in its and form the dolmades,as shown in photos.Arrange the dolmades in to a pan, pour the water to cover its and cook for 2 1/2-3 hours at medium heat or until the cabbage is really soft.
Serve with polenta ,cheese,cream or yogurt and chili.

For vegetarians: the same ingredients,but instead of meat,use mushrooms.

Dolmades 1 - Sarmale in foi vita

Ingredients:mushrooms,onion,rice,herbs,tomato juice,wine leafs.
Served with cream and polenta.
For non vegetarians use meat (chicken,beef,pork) instead of mushrooms.

Sarmale varza - Dolmades

Ingredients:mix minced meat,onion,herbs,rice,tomato juice,cabbage leafs.
For vegetarian use mushrooms instead of meat .
