Chocolate & apricot cake - Prajitura cu ciocolata si caise - Dolce al cioccolato e albiccoche




























How to make :
Sheets: 1 egg,12 tablespoons sugar,12 tablespoons milk,12 tablespoons oil,1 tsp rum extract,1 teaspoon baking soda,4 tbs cocoa,350 - 400 gr flour.
Preheat the oven to 180 C.
Mix all the ingredients and at the end add the flour and baking soda.The dough is divided in 4 parts.Roll each part into a sheet ,bake each sheet on the back of a try (25 x 30 cm)greased with a little bit of oil. Prik each sheet with a fork before baking.Bake the sheets at 180 Celsius for about 5 minutes.
Chocolate filling: 700 ml milk,200 gr sugar,1 tsp rum extract,5-6 tablespoons plain flour,2 tbs cocoa,5 gr gelatin,150 gr butter cut in small cubes and 3-4 tbs apricot jam, 50 gr grated milk chocolate.
Mix the sugar with milk,flour,cocoa,rum extract,gelatin and bake (on bain-marie)until get a cream consistency of thick cream.After the cream has cooled add the butter beforehand and stir well.
Lay the first sheet in a baking try,spread 1- 2 tbs of apricot jam,add one part of the chocolate cream,then another sheet ,apricot jam,chocolate cream and so on.Sprinkle over the cake some grated milk chocolate.Allow to cool for 4 hours or over night.
