Spaghetti with mussels - Spaghetti cu scoici - Spaghetti con vongole




How to make:300 gr mussels,500 gr spaghetti,4 cloves garlic,1 handfuls green parsley,125 ml olive oil,100 ml white wine,1 hot pepper,50 gr grated Parmesan.
Cook the spaghetti in a sauce pan of boiling salted water until tender,for 8 -10 min.Drain the spaghetti and add 50 ml olive oil.Set aside.
Clean and debeard the mussels.If any mussels are opened,tap them lightly on a hard surface.If they don't close,discard them.
For the sauce,heat the 75 ml olive oil in a sauce pan add chopped garlic and fry for 3 min,add chopped hot pepper, mussels and white wine,than cook for 10 min.The mussels are cooked when they've opened up.Discard any that don't opened.Add spaghetti and sprinkle with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan.
This quantity will serve five people.
