Stuffed pears in puff pastry - Pere umplute in foietaj - Pere ripiene in pasta sfoglia





















How to make:
Ingredients: 6 pears,50 gr ground almond,1 tbs sultanas,1 tbs honey,300 ml rose or white wine,100 gr sugar,cinnamon,nutmeg,400 gr puff pastry,1 yolk egg.
Peel the pears.
Boil for 5 mins the wine with sugar,cinnamon,nutmeg,orange peel,then add the pears.Simmer the pears until soft enough,it can take from 15 -35 mins. Take out the pears and leave to cool then coarse the pears from the bottom.
Mix the almond with honey and add sultanas.
Stuff the pears with the mix almond.
Roll out puff pastry and cut in thins stripes(1 cm)and  wrap it around the pears.Make sure that when you put the pastry,pears to be slightly moist so it does not fall or peel off.
Brush the pears and the steam with yolk.
Preheat the oven to 200 C.
Line a baking tray with baking paper,add the pears and bake for 20 - 25 mins,or until the pastry is golden brown.
Allow to cool and decorate with mint leaves.
